At Luminary Church, we believe every child deserves love, stability, and hope. That’s why we support Holston Home for Children, a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to helping children and families overcome life’s hardships. Founded in 1895 by Mrs. E.E. Wiley, Holston Home has provided care for over 8,000 children, offering healing and a path forward to those who need it most.

Each Sunday, our congregation joins together in what we affectionately call the “Noisy Offering.” Adults and children alike collect spare change in tin cups and pour it into a large milk jug—turning simple coins into powerful support. These offerings go directly to benefit the children served by Holston Home.

In summer 2022, members of Luminary Church visited the Holston Home campus in Greeneville, TN, witnessing firsthand the transformative work being done. With service locations across East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, Holston Home continues to provide safe, nurturing environments where children can heal and grow—whether through family reunification, residential care, or guidance into adulthood.
