CHILDREN'S AND YOUTH MINISTRIES

In addition to nursery care for Infants, there are Sunday school classes dedicated to children for grades K-5, and 6-12. After starting church service in the sanctuary at 10:30, these groups will move to the education wing for worship while having fun and fellowship with Bible studies, prayer, snack, and play time.
Grades 6-12 gather from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday evening for food, fun, crafts, games, and Bible study. They also have the opportunity to attend a church-provided summer camp.
There a special events throughout the year such as fund raisers that include dessert auctions, ice cream socials, and spaghetti dinners.

MINISTRY SAFE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR YOUTH WORKERS

MUSIC MINISTRY

At Luminary Church, music is a vital part of our worship and community life. Our Sanctuary Choir leads worship during the 10:30 AM service each Sunday, lifting hearts and voices in praise.
In addition to Sunday mornings, the choir presents a special Christmas program each year and graciously provides music for funeral services when requested—offering comfort through song during times of grief.
Choir practice is held every Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:00 PM, and new voices are always welcome. Whether you’re a seasoned singer or just love to make a joyful noise, we’d love for you to join us.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH MINISTRY

Luminary is proud to offer aid and support to individuals and the community in the Ten Mile, TN area. This includes scholarships for high school graduates, community breakfasts and dinners once monthly, a clothes closet of gently used clothing, a food pantry with non-perishable items, financial assistance, furniture and household goods, student support, angel tree Christmas presents, and holiday food boxes.

NURTURE MINISTRY

The Nurture Ministry shares expressions of Love through prayers, meal deliveries, calls, and texts for homebound members of Luminary.
Luminary also collects change during worship services that we call our "Noisy Offering" (due to the collection of change using tin cups and dumping them into a large metal milk can) that is donated to the Holston Home for Children.

Church members collectively uniting to lift others needing focused prayer efforts. Periodically meeting to arrange touchpoints including cards, meals, phone calls and visits.
